Die 50 Skulpturen des Institut fuer Feinmotorik

"Die 50 Skulpturen des Institut fuer Feinmotorik" are the result of an alternative working method with audio material produced on the sound sculpture Octogrammoticum. The idea of sculpting, carving or de-composing this sound-material instead of composing music led to a collection of 49 individual accoustic sculptures. The order of this piece is modular, i.e. the sequencial and/or parallel arrangement of the individual accoustic-sculptures is variable, and they should be re-arranged (curated) for every single broadcast / presentation according to the following rules:

1. For any curated version at least 1 and maximal all 49 acoustic sculptures is/are to be used in full length (each chosen sculpture only once per curated version).

2. The volume of each sculpture can be changed globally (for the whole lenght of each sculpture); different volume levels and Panning within each sculpture is not allowed.

3. The starting-point for each acoustic sculpture can be chosen freely. The acoustic sculptures can be arranged one after another, at once or overlapping etc.

Curated versions of the piece "Die 50 Skulpturen des Institut fuer Feinmotorik" can be sent to Institut fuer Feinmotorik for authorisation. Authorised curated versions are collected in a pool and may be used for release, broadcast, performance etc.


The curated version "Achsenbaum" was also prepared for a concert in the sound dome (Klangdom) in ZKM.
